Thank you to those who have given very positive feedbacks about Raising Godly Mothers. It is so encouraging.

I’m currently putting together the next issue. There are several new articles written by inspirational mothers: Janice Wills, Gwenda Smithies, Anne Schwartferger, and Rosina Mitchell. I’m so grateful for these amazing women who have dedicated time to passing on their wisdom to us.

Issue #2 is scheduled to be published some time around December or January.

It has been aware to me that the subscription fees were too high so I’m looking at ways to reduce that at the moment. It may mean a different look for the magazine, such as, different sizing and paper. Hopefully we will be able to make them more affordable.

Raising Godly Mothers RGM — First issue of Raising Godly Mothers magazine

The dream of publishing a mother’s magazine became a reality earlier on this year when the very first issue was finally published and distributed. Around 100 mothers who attended the recent Homeschool Educator Annual Retreat (HEART) in Matamata were treated to a free copy of the first issue. Many more copies have also been distributed in the South Island, especially in Canterbury.

There has already been a number of positive feedbacks, especially from older mothers with their daughters now starting their own family. A few of them have also expressed their interests in writing articles for future publications.

RGM focuses on the Scripture found in Titus 2:3-5 which instructs the older women to teach the younger women on how to be a godly wife and mother. The articles are mostly written by those who have gone before, sharing their wisdom and experiences. As modern parenting increasingly pushes towards child-centred households, which places an unrealistic expectation on the parents, there is a need to direct mothers back to the wisdom of God.

RGM encourages stories that are based on real life experiences of godly mothers in New Zealand. Stories which contain wisdom that are often lost if not passed on.
